Electric shock dog collar approved by government

The people (word people used loosly) behind this great country of ours need a major kick up their ass, what are they thinking approving the sale and manufacture of electric shock dog collars?

Many months ago I (and many of my friends along with thousands of others) signed a petition to prevent the manufacture and sale of electric shock dog collars. Now I don`t think any sane human being would need any explanation as to why I signed the petition.

Firefox search bar google bug fix

A month or so ago Firefox updated itself to version 2.0.0.6, as a result my firefox search bar options have been missing missing google.co.uk. I use the search bar within firefox and am returned with www.google.com results.

I trawled the Firefox website and Googled galore for an answer to this but found bob all, so this afternoon fed up of having to manually goto google.co.uk for my searches, I thought I would have a dig around.

Set website text size using ems

Many years ago we used to size text using pixels, we knew where we were with them. Tell a web browser to set the text size at 12px, voila it was done. But then the web grew up, we realised we had to start to change the way we develop websites, accessibility and usability was key and pixel text sizing just didn`t do the job.

Sky broadband my experience part 2

OK so the activation day arrived. I knew from previous experience that the modem/router would be a doddle to setup and install. Plug it in and voila, everything is taken care of for you thanks to the setup procedure by Sky to ensure even the most novice of users can get up and running with it.

I did mess around with the wireless settings however, I changed the password to something memorable and changed the name from sky12345 (or whatever it was). A few port forwarding changes later and that was my config done. Continue reading ‘Sky broadband my experience part 2′

Div disappearing in Firefox?

More and more people are using css on their websites to position text and images, which is a good thing but please check across all web browsers!
